Minister Gerald "Jamal" Hunter, M.Div., Assistant Minister

Minister Jamal Hunter is an associate minister who has been involved with ICC from its earliest beginnings. While remaining employed full-time with East Bay Municipal Utility District, he accepted his call to ministry in 2000. He oversees our Facilities Ministry and is the pastoral staff liaison to the Men’s Ministry. He is active in the Christian Educational life of the church, teaching Bible Studies and Membership Development Classes.
He has a B.A. from CSU, Northridge from the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Mathematics and received a Masters of Divinity from American Baptist Seminary of the West.
Minister Jamal is concerned with the need for social reforms that protect and enhance the lives of those often forgotten in society. He enjoys reading, listening to jazz, and considers himself an amateur photographer. He is married and has three children.
