In accordance with the Church Bylaws, Article VII, Section II (L), nominations are being solicited for “Members in Good Standing” to serve on the Elections Committee. The Elections Committee is a special committee that has a specific purpose and a time limit in which to complete their assignment. When the task is done, the committee business is completed and dismissed.
Purpose: The purpose of this committee is to define and conduct the elections process for the election of a Senior Pastor.
Work Responsibilities: Likely to include the following tasks:
Establish/review rules for elections.
Determine the balloting method (paper, electronic...)
Set time to begin and end balloting.
Sets up location for balloting.
Oversees the signing in of those eligible to vote and monitors the voting process.
Ensures the balloting starts and ends at the designated time.
Advises the ICC Board Chair of the end of balloting.
Fulfills other duties as needed.
The Election Committee will consist of nine active Members in Good Standing: Chair of the Board and three other Directors selected by the Board; and five active members of the Church-at-large appointed by the Board.
Submit nominations using the attached form. Nominations must be received by Friday, April 25, 2025.
